5D2 HD Cinema Rig

The cinema depth-of-field look is probably the most difficult thing to achieve on a video camera until now. My Canon 5D2 cinema rig captures beautiful full 1080p High Definition footage and is making serious ripples in digital cinema acquisition.

The 5D2 has a twenty-one megapixel sensor that is approximately the same size as a VistaVision 35mm motion picture frame. It's larger than the RED ONE's sensor and it's low-light performance is currently unrivalled, even by the RED ONE.

With the combination of a large sensor, interchangeable 35mm lenses and my experience, I now have full control of depth-of-field and can capture cinematic images that even top-end video cameras can't.

A whole new world of creative potential is now possible with 35mm film lenses. Specialist lenses that can be used on the 5D2 include, Tilt-shift, Extreme macro, LensBaby, Pinhole and Fisheyes. Wide-angle 35mm lenses capture super wider-angle footage that is far wider than any current broadcast wide-angle video lens.
